Water Resources Planner Needed: Chester County Water Resources Authority Hiring
The Water Resources Planner provides technical analysis and planning for water resources management related to floodplain management, stormwater management, water use and source water protection, watershed restoration, and protection of aquatic habitats and water resources, etc.
This role also manages the Chester County Water Resources Authority’s (CCWRA) public information program
The Water Resources Planner provides technical analysis and planning for water resources management related to floodplain management, stormwater management, water use and source water protection, watershed restoration, and protection of aquatic habitats and water resources; serves as the principal contact for floodplain management to support residents; provides MS4 coordination, planning and assistance to municipal permittees, conservation organizations and county permit manager; conducts public input and outreach activities; and manages the Chester County Water Resources Authority’s (CCWRA) public information program including meetings and events for municipalities, public and stakeholders, presentations, public and stakeholder outreach/input activities, website maintenance, and hardcopy and online public information publications, tools and products.
The Water Resources Planner also supports the Authority’s dam safety program for four flood control dams, one water supply reservoir, and one constructed wetland. Activities may include conducting inspections, including surveillance during significant flood events, oversight of contractors and consultants working on maintenance or improvements, and working with the Executive Director on property and easement management.
